An excellent opportunity for an experienced Bosun to join an 85m private motor yacht operating a busy dual-season program.

The role:

  • Lead day-to-day deck operations, ensuring high standards across maintenance, presentation, and guest readiness.
  • Take ownership of the exterior, ensuring all deck areas, tenders, and equipment are maintained to an exceptional standard.
  • Plan and execute maintenance schedules, including painting, varnishing, and carpentry works.
  • Manage inventories, stock control, and sourcing of spares and equipment in coordination with the Chief Officer.
  • Delegate tasks effectively across the deck team, ensuring quality and timely completion.
  • Train, mentor, and develop junior deck crew.
  • Operate and manage large tenders as required.
  • Busy private dual-season program.
  • Start date: around mid-July.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience as Bosun on 70m+ yachts.
  • Master of Yachts Limited (200GT) or equivalent (minimum).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing larger deck teams.
  • High-level maintenance skills including painting (brush and spray), varnishing, and teak carpentry.
  • Confident handling of large tenders.
  • Organised, proactive, and detail-focused with a hands-on approach.
  • B1/B2 visa preferred but not essential.
  • Keen fisherman advantageous.
  • Additional certifications such as PWC Instructor or advanced dive qualifications beneficial.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
