We are seeking an experienced and capable Mate / Deckhand to join a 35m private motor yacht for a temporary contract supporting the vessel through final hand over and its first operational months.

The role will involve assisting with the final stages of the hand over and initial Mediterranean cruising with the owners, followed by a short yard period for warranty work and modifications before the vessel is shipped to the USA.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience on similar‑size yachts, hold an OOW qualification, and be confident standing navigational watches as well as managing day‑to‑day deck operations and maintenance. Strong seamanship, a proactive approach, and the ability to integrate into a small, professional crew are essential.

The vessel tows an 8m tender, so previous towing and tender experience would be highly advantageous. Candidates must be comfortable working around dogs onboard and demonstrate a flexible, positive attitude suited to a private family programme.

Fluent English is required, along with the appropriate visas to be based in Europe.

This is a 4–5 month contract offering a great opportunity to be part of the final stages and handover of a new build project.
