Position suitable for a team/couple.

We are seeking a Captain (must be in a Captain/Chef couple) to join a 40m private/charter motor yacht operating a busy dual-season program between the Mediterranean and Caribbean. This is an opportunity to step into a well-managed program requiring strong leadership, organisation, and charter experience.

The role:

  • Start date to be confirmed but within the next month.
  • Overall command and safe operation of a 40m motor yacht across private and charter use.
  • Lead all onboard operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day running and high guest standards.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities including compliance, paperwork, and operational organisation.
  • Oversee crew management, fostering a positive, professional, and team-focused environment.
  • Busy dual-season program operating between the Mediterranean and Caribbean.
  • Ensure the vessel runs efficiently and delivers a seamless guest experience across all trips.
  • B1/B2 visa preferred.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum Master 500GT (essential).
  • Previous Captain experience on similar-sized yachts.
  • Strong charter background with the ability to manage a busy dual-season program.
  • Calm, confident leader with strong decision-making and communication skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent administrative and paperwork management ability.
  • Team-focused with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive crew dynamic.
  • Must be in a Captain/Chef couple.

What's on offer:

  • Salary: €14,000 per month.
  • Leave: 60 days.
  • 13th month bonus.
  • Dual-season Mediterranean and Caribbean program.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
