Domestic Couple – Oxfordshire

We are delighted to be working with a private client based at a beautiful country estate in Oxfordshire, to assist in the recruitment of an experienced and professional Domestic Couple. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a well-established private property in a genuinely stunning setting, taking over from a highly regarded couple who have served the household for seven years.

This is the private estate, with no events or commercial operations to manage. The couple will work together to ensure the smooth and seamless running of the household, with the female partner leading on housekeeping and cooking and the male partner overseeing maintenance and driving responsibilities.

The role is primarily Monday to Friday, eight hours per day, with flexibility required at weekends if Principals are at the property. Private accommodation is provided nearby the estate, offering comfort and privacy for the right couple.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of a country house to an exceptional standard.
• Carry out all daily housekeeping duties including cleaning, polishing, and careful organisation throughout the property.
• Manage all laundry and wardrobe care, including ironing, garment care, and seasonal organisation.
• Plan, prepare, and cook meals for the principal, with an emphasis on fresh, high-quality home cooking.
• Manage household supplies, grocery shopping, and stock replenishment.
• Undertake personal errands for the principal as required.
• Carry out general property maintenance tasks, ensuring the estate is kept in excellent order at all times.
• Provide driving services for the principal as and when required.
• Liaise with external contractors and service providers under the direction of the principal.
• Ensure the property is always presented to the highest standard and guest-ready at short notice.
• Maintain strict discretion and confidentiality at all times.
• Work collaboratively as a couple to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the household.

• Must hold the right to live and work in the UK.
• An established couple with proven experience working together in a private household environment.
• Female partner with strong housekeeping skills and an excellent standard of home cooking.
• Male partner with solid maintenance knowledge and experience as a private driver.
• Discreet, professional, and well-presented at all times.
• Hardworking, proactive, and able to manage their own time effectively.
• Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to accommodate weekend requirements when needed.
• Warm and personable, with a genuine pride in delivering an exceptional standard of service.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously as a team.
• Full, clean driving licence required.

Package:

• Working schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, with flexibility required at weekends if Principals are at the property.
• Private accommodation provided nearby the estate.
• Salary: £80,000 Gross per annum (combined).
• Start Date: August 2026.
