We are seeking an experienced Second Officer to join a 100m+ private sailing yacht operating an off-the-beaten-track Pacific cruising program. This is a senior operational role on a large sailing yacht, offering significant sea time and varied navigation.

The role:

  • Take responsibility for bridge operations, including passage planning, navigation, and watchkeeping.
  • Support safety management including LSA/LFFE, drills, audits, and compliance.
  • Work within an experienced bridge team on a large sailing yacht.
  • Extensive Pacific cruising with long passages and remote destinations.
  • Start date: ASAP.

What we're looking for:

  • OOW Unlimited minimum (Chief Mate Unlimited preferred).
  • Strong Second Officer experience.
  • Sailing experience is essential (sail yachts or strong sailing background, including smaller sailing or dinghy experience).
  • Strong navigational, safety, and operational knowledge.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
