Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deckhand to join a 31-meter explorer yacht operating primarily in the Mediterranean. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience on similar-sized vessels in the region and demonstrate strong seamanship, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of deck operations including mooring, anchoring, and navigation support
• Maintain the exterior of the yacht to the highest standards
• Operate and maintain tenders, toys, and deck equipment
• Ensure safe handling and storage of water sports equipment
• Assist with guest services on deck, ensuring a high level of professionalism and discretion
• Support bridge operations including watchkeeping when required
• Participate in routine maintenance and minor repairs
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to onboard safety drills

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a deckhand on yachts in the Mediterranean
• Valid STCW certification
• ENG1 medical certificate (or equivalent)
• Tender driving skills
• Proven experience with teak maintenance and exterior detailing
• Basic mechanical and maintenance skills are an advantage
• Good communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
