We are delighted to be working with a distinguished private Principal based in Bahrain to assist in hiring a full-time Female Butler. This is a wonderful opportunity for a warm, service-led professional to become the trusted presence at the heart of a well-appointed private household.
The Principal, a well-travelled gentleman in his sixties, divides his time between Bahrain and his international residences, and is seeking someone he can trust implicitly to deliver an exceptional, intuitive level of service with discretion, warmth, and quiet capability.
This is not a formal, ceremonial Butler role. The successful candidate will be service-led themselves, focused on anticipating the Principal’s needs and ensuring the household runs seamlessly around him. They will oversee a small existing team, including maids, a chef, gardeners, and drivers, ensuring each member understands their responsibilities clearly and operates to the highest standard. The role requires someone who can remove all ‘noise’ from the Principal’s day, acting as the calm, organising presence between the Principal and his household.
The successful candidate will be live-in, based at the Principal’s private villa, which will serve as their primary residence. The possibility of travelling with the Principal to his international properties, including residences in London, may arise for the right candidate. A Chief of Staff is in place to provide support and act as a sounding board, and the Butler will work closely alongside them.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm, highly attentive personal service to the Principal, anticipating his needs and preferences at all times
- Oversee and coordinate the household team of maids, chef, gardeners, and drivers, ensuring each member is clear on their duties and performing to the highest standard
- Act as the buffer between the Principal and the household, managing all day-to-day operational matters quietly and efficiently so they never reach him
- Manage and oversee wardrobe care to an impeccable standard, including garment care, organisation, and packing and unpacking for travel

- Ensure the household is always immaculately presented and guest-ready
- Liaise with and manage external suppliers and service providers as required
- Run personal errands for the Principal as required
- Travel with the Principal to international residences as required, including potential travel to London and beyond
- Maintain the utmost discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times

- Discreet, trustworthy, and professionally presented at all times
