About This role

Chase Boat Captain – Private – 45m M/Y (MTI 18m)

This is a hands-on Chase Boat Captain role joining a 45m motor yacht for the summer season in the Mediterranean. You will be operating an MTI 18m tender with 500 HP Mercury Racing engines. Accommodation is provided on the chase boat, with support duties on the mothership when required. This role suits an energetic, flexible candidate who enjoys driving, guest interaction, and being part of a small dynamic team during a busy summer programme.

Start date: ASAP – Seasonal (potentially extended)

Itinerary: Mediterranean

Package: Salary paid in Euros; seasonal contract with potential to become permanent based on professionalism and reliability.

Experience / Skills required:

  • Minimum two seasons’ experience as a Chase Boat Captain or Senior Deckhand
  • Fluent English
  • Confident driving and handling of high-performance tenders
  • Ability to anticipate marina arrivals
  • Capability to independently handle berthing arrangements and liaise with marinas, following the Captain’s general instructions
  • Strong knowledge of guest operations and safety procedures
  • Willingness to assist on the 45m mothership when needed
  • Positive, proactive attitude and team player mentality

Qualifications required:

  • Yachtmaster Offshore (minimum)
  • STCW (fully updated)
  • Seafarer’s Medical Certificate
  • Seaman’s Discharge Book (preferred)

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
