We have a great opportunity for a 2nd/3rd Officer to join a 70m+ private motor yacht operating a busy dual-season Mediterranean and Caribbean program. This is an ideal role for a newly qualified OOW looking to step into an officer position with varied responsibilities, and excellent exposure across both bridge and deck.

The role:

  • Rotational position alternating between Second Officer (2 months) and Third Officer (1 month, covering Bosun leave).
  • As Second Officer: support bridge operations including passage planning, ECDIS updates, charts, LSA/LFFE checks, and general administration.
  • Maintain a hands-on presence on deck alongside bridge responsibilities.
  • As Third Officer: take a more deck-focused role supporting operations and leading where required.
  • Busy dual-season private program operating between the Mediterranean and Caribbean.
  • Strong learning environment with exposure to all aspects of the officer role.
  • Start date: first week of May (by 7th).

What we’re looking for:

  • OOW 3000gt minimum (essential).
  • Open to newly qualified OOW candidates.
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage bridge administration and compliance tasks.
  • Positive, adaptable, and comfortable working across both bridge and deck.
  • Interest in tennis or padel advantageous.
  • Must have EU repatriation.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
