Senior Butler/House Manager - Florida

We are working with a UHNW family based in Palm Beach to help them hire a highly experienced Senior Butler / House Manager to oversee the smooth running of three private residences. The successful candidate will take the lead in managing household operations across properties in Palm Beach, New Jersey, and the Hamptons, ensuring each home is always maintained to an exceptional standard.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a balance of refined service and operational oversight. The position will involve frequent travel between residences to prepare for the family’s arrival, oversee staff, and ensure seamless entertaining. The Palm Beach residence is the primary home and hosts regular, high-level social events. You will be working alongside established household teams in each location, taking full responsibility for staff management, service standards, and overall household organization. This is a live-out position, with accommodation provided when travelling between properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of three private residences
• Manage and lead household staff across all locations, ensuring high performance and accountability
• Coordinate staff scheduling, training, and recruitment as required
• Deliver formal, high-level service for dinners, events, and entertaining
• Personally host and serve guests with professionalism and discretion
• Ensure all properties are maintained in a constant state of readiness
• Travel ahead of the family to prepare residences for arrival
• Manage household logistics, inventories, and service standards
• Anticipate the needs of the principals and resolve issues proactively
• Always maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality
• Oversee beverage service, including cocktail preparation and wine service
• Act as the central point of organization across all properties

Ideal Candidate

• Formally trained Butler, ideally from a respected European institution
• Extensive experience in UHNW households or luxury hospitality environments
• Proven ability to manage and lead large household teams
• Exceptional hosting and guest-facing service skills
• Strong background in formal dining service and entertaining
• Confident in cocktail making and beverage service
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Naturally proactive with strong foresight and problem-solving ability
• Discreet, professional, and accustomed to private environments
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Palm Beach area
• Flexible and willing to travel frequently between residences

Package

• Working schedule: 5 days per week, flexible based on family needs (approximately 50 hours per week)
• Live-out position with accommodation provided when travelling
• Salary: $160,000 – $200,000 gross per annum (depending on experience)
