Technical Superintendent

I am currently working with a global ship management organisation to recruit an experienced Technical Superintendent to support their RoPax ferry operations. This position will see you acting as a key link between the vessel and shore, ensuring high technical standards, compliance, and reliability across the fleet.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and internationally recognised business, supporting a major ferry operator and playing a pivotal role in day-to-day technical management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the technical performance of assigned RoPax vessels, ensuring compliance with class, flag, and international maritime regulations
  • Oversee planned maintenance systems (PMS) and ensure effective implementation onboard
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise dry dockings, repairs, and maintenance activities
  • Monitor and control technical budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations
  • Investigate technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Liaise with vessel crews, suppliers, shipyards, and classification societies
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of spare parts and technical equipment
  • Support and promote QHSE standards, ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience as a Technical Superintendent, Technical Superintendent Inspector (TSI), or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of RoPax or ferry vessel operations
  • Experience with PMS, dry dock planning, and technical budget management
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.
