Experienced Bosun - To Join 1st Week of April - Rotational Position - Private Yacht - 100m +

100+ private yacht is seeking experienced Bosun to join the deck department. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Officer to manage and lead the deck team while ensuring the vessel is maintained to the highest superyacht standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chief Officer in managing deck operation and maintenance schedules
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the deck crew
• Lead mooring, anchor and tender operations
• Ensure the exterior of the vessel is maintained to an exceptional standard
• Ensure departmental compliance with Risk Assessments, Permit to Work and Standard Operating Procedures as per vessel SMS
• Maintenance skills – paint, varnish, caulking, filling
• Oversee deck equipment and tenders
• Train and mentor junior deck crew members

Requirements:

• Valid STCW certification
• ENG1 Medical Certificate
• Seaman’s Discharge Book
• Watch rating (II/4) or Yacht Master Offshore (commercial endorsement)
• Proficiency in Security Awareness and Designated Security Duties
• Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boat
• Previous experience as Bosun or senior deckhand on large yachts
• Positive attitude and strong team spirit
• Solid seamanship and watchkeeping ability
• Tender handling experience
• Work aloft experience 
• Dive (Padi Advanced Open Water or equivalent) optional
