3rd Engineer Needed for 70M Private Support Yacht

3rd Engineer needed for 70M private support yacht based in the Indian Ocean.

Package on offer: EUR salary - 4/2 rotation
Start date: 15th March
Itinerary: Indian Ocean / Middle East based - Med for Summer

Candidates should hold a 2nd Engineer unlimited (STCW III/2) or EOOW unlimited licence and have previous experience as 3rd Engineer onboard 60M+ yachts, with a strong knowledge of modern machinery.

Excellent command of English (spoken & written) - team player - safety orientated

Duties:

• Stand independent engine room watches.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain main propulsion engines, generators, auxiliary machinery, HVAC systems, purifiers, pumps, steering gear, stabilizers, and other technical equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems.
• Manage fuel, lubricating oil, fresh water, and bilge systems; oversee bunkering and tank soundings.
• Support the Chief Engineer and 2nd Engineer in planned maintenance systems (PMS), inventory control, spare parts management, and dry-dock / refit preparations.
• Participate in safety drills, risk assessments, toolbox talks, permit-to-work procedures, and environmental protection measures.
• Assist with guest-related technical support (e.g., AV/IT, tenders, water toys, pool/spa systems) when required.
