Yacht Technical Superintendent
Location: South of France or Hamburg

I have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Yacht Technical Superintendent to oversee the technical operation of a fleet of private and commercial vessels.

This hands-on role bridges ship and shore, ensuring vessels are safe, compliant, and efficient. You’ll manage maintenance, budgets, suppliers, and projects while driving continuous improvement across the fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main technical contact for vessels, management, and suppliers
  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, refits, and dry-docks
  • Manage spare parts, inventories, and technical procurement
  • Oversee budgets and financial control for technical operations
  • Select and manage contractors and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with Class, Flag, and regulatory requirements
  • Support new-build projects and provide technical advice
  • Contribute to fleet-wide process and system improvements

The ideal candidate:

  • Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent
  • Sea-going experience as Chief Engineer or shore-based as Technical Superintendent
  • Experience with yachts, cruise, ferry, or offshore vessels
  • Knowledge of shipyards, contractors, and yacht-specific technical systems
  • Familiarity with ISM/ISPS, SOLAS, and relevant regulations
  • Strong financial and budget management skills
  • Fluent English; other European languages advantageous
  • Legal right to live and work in Europe

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
