About this role

Assistant Engineer – Private 49m M/Y

We are currently looking for a motivated Assistant Engineer to join a well-maintained 49m private motor yacht operating under a professional and stable programme. This is a permanent position, offering long-term prospects for the right candidate and an excellent opportunity to grow within a solid engineering team.

Start date: ASAP
Itinerary: Italy (Mediterranean-based)
Package: Salary paid in Euros, DOE | 60 days paid leave

Experience / Skills required:

  • Minimum MEOL certificate
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Engineer on yachts of similar size
  • Good mechanical and electrical knowledge with a hands-on approach
  • Ability to assist with planned maintenance and daily engine room operations
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and proactive attitude
  • Comfortable working in a private yacht environment with high standards

Qualifications required:

  • MEOL certificate (minimum)
  • STCW (fully updated)
  • Seafarer’s Medical Certificate
  • Seaman’s Discharge Book (preferred)

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
