Travelling Housekeeper - San Diego

We are working with a UHNW Mexican family to hire an experienced, Spanish-speaking travelling housekeeper for a full-time, long-term position. The family is based primarily in San Diego, with extended periods spent travelling between Europe (including Belgium) and the USA. The household consists of two Principals and two teenage children, aged 15 and 17, within a well-educated, respectful family environment.

This is a highly mobile role suited to a professional housekeeper who is comfortable travelling independently with the family for extended stays of approximately three to four months at a time in each location. While San Diego is the main base, the family owns multiple residences internationally and values consistency, discretion, and high household standards at all times.

The role offers a generous working pattern with two full months off during November and December each year. In San Diego, the household is supported by additional staff; however, when travelling, the housekeeper will typically work independently.

This is a live-in position; however, a live-out option is available to those candidates based locally in San Diego. The successful candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily housekeeping to a high standard across multiple international residences
• Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of all living areas
• Wardrobe care, including laundry, ironing, and packing/unpacking for travel
• Preparing homes for arrivals and departures
• Managing household supplies and inventories
• Supporting the family during international travel periods
• Helping to look after the family’s dogs, including walking and feeding
• Working independently while maintaining excellent communication with Principals
• Ensuring discretion, privacy, and confidentiality at all times
• Coordinating with a small team of household staff when based in San Diego
• Adapting seamlessly to different homes, routines, and cultural environments

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience working in UHNW private households
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Experience working with Principals of high profile and complex lifestyles
• Mature, discreet, and emotionally intelligent
• Energetic with strong physical stamina for frequent travel
• Highly organised, adaptable, and proactive
• Comfortable working independently for extended periods
• Eligible to work in the USA and travel internationally

Package

• Working schedule: 5 days a week, 8–10 hours per day

• Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 per annum (depending on experience)
