Second Officer (Safety & Navigation) – 70m+ Private Yacht | 2on/2off | Strong Tender Driver.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Second Officer to join a well-run 70m+ private yacht operating a 2 on / 2 off rotational schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for safety management, navigation, and bridge operations, and must demonstrate excellent tender driving skills.

This is a great opportunity for a solid all-round Second Officer looking for a long-term rotational position on a professionally managed private vessel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chief Officer with all bridge operations
• Take primary responsibility for safety management, including drills, compliance, and safety equipment
• Passage planning, navigation, and watchkeeping
• Maintain up-to-date charts, publications, and navigational equipment
• Supervise and train deck crew as required
• Drive and operate tenders confidently and safely, including guest transfers
• Ensure compliance with ISM, SMS, and flag state requirements
• Support the deck team during busy operational periods when needed

Requirements:

• OOW 3000 (minimum)
• Valid STCW, ENG1, and all required certification
• Proven experience as Second Officer on large yachts (ideally 60m+)
• Strong navigational knowledge and bridge confidence
• Excellent tender driving skills essential
• Professional, calm, and safety-focused mindset
• Good communication and teamwork skills
