We are seeking a highly professional, technically proficient, and leadership-oriented Captain for a 31-meter luxury steel hull explorer yacht. The yacht is currently in the last stages of construction in La Spezia, Italy and is expected to be launched in March 2026 and delivered in May 2026. The yacht is equipped with latest paperless navigation system (ECDIS). The yacht has accommodation for 10 guests in 5 cabins and up to 6 crew members in 3 cabins. The yacht is expected to spend her first season in the Mediterranean and then cruise to other parts of the world including crossing the Suez Canal, the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. This is expected to be a long term multi-year role.

The ideal candidate combines 7+ years of Master experience on 24m+ yachts with the administrative discipline required for a vessel over 200 GT.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Operational Command: Delivery of 7-star service for both Private and Charter guests

• Compliance & Survey Management: Maintain the vessel in constant "Survey-Ready" condition for Flag State and Class.

• Manage the Safety Management System (SMS) and ensure full compliance with the ISPS and ISM codes (where applicable).

• Coordinate annual surveys for life-saving appliances (LSA) and firefighting equipment (FFE).

• New Build & Warranty: Oversee the transition from shipyard to sea, managing "snag lists" and warranty claims.

• Paperless Navigation: Lead a strictly digital bridge using ECDIS/ENC for global itinerary planning.

• Crew Recruitment & HR: Responsible for the hiring and vetting of all crew members in coordination with the owner

• Managing crew contracts, payroll, and ensuring all certificates (STCW/ENG1) are compliant and up-to-date.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 7 years as Master (Yachts)
  • Previous experience in ocean crossings and navigation beyond the Mediterranean.
  • Experience in using Furuno ECDIS navigation system
  • Hands on Technical / Mechanical skills
  • Experience in new build construction including sea trials and warranty management
  • Excellent command of English language both written and spoken

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on yachts matching the following requirements:
