Temp 2nd Engineer – Private/Charter 40m M/Y

We are currently seeking a very-hands on Engineer to assist throughout a large yard re-fit period, with an immediate start.

Start date: Immediately and for approximately 5 months
Itinerary: Western Med Yard Period
Salary: Competitive salary paid in Euros- DOE – inclusive of leave

Experience/Attributes Required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as Second Engineer on 50m+ M/Y
  • Hands-on, proactive, and team-oriented
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills – with a strong trades background
  • Previous yard / refit experience would be highly favourable
  • Fluent English (spoken and written) plus French speaking would be very helpful
  • Positive and adaptable character with the ability to work well with external contractors

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum AEC 1&2 – higher would be advantageous 
  • STCW (Fully updated) with PSA/PDSD
  • Seafarer’s Medical Certificate

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
