Second Officer for a 70m private motor yacht with a dual-season programme between Dubai, the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean.

The role:

  • Split role with approximately 30% bridge time and 70% deck involvement.
  • Support the Chief Officer across navigational duties, bridge operations, passage planning and watchkeeping.
  • Oversee deck operations and lead the deck team day-to-day.
  • Hands-on tender work, including towing and operating a 16m tender.
  • Manage ISM/ISPS responsibilities and scheduled safety equipment checks.
  • Participate in planned maintenance systems (IDEA/Pinpoint) and upkeep of all deck areas.
  • Start date ideally in two weeks, flexible for the right candidate.

What we're looking for:

  • OOW 3000gt minimum.
  • Ideally 5+ years' experience onboard, with career progression through the deck department.
  • 2nd Officer experience preferred, but newly qualified OOWs with strong bosun experience on larger yachts may be considered.
  • Strong communicator with proven leadership ability.
  • Confident tender driver with experience managing larger tenders.
  • Additional advantageous skills: Divemaster, avid fisherman, or trade background such as carpentry.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
