Private Housekeeper - Riyadh

We are working with a small royal household in Riyadh to help them hire a full-time Housekeeper to join their close-knit team. This is a live-in position requiring a professional, proactive candidate who is confident in high-standard housekeeping and happy to support with light service and general household tasks when needed. The home is calm and relaxed, with guests visiting only occasionally.

You will join a team of four and will work closely with the long-standing House Manager, who has been with the family for four years.

Accommodation is onsite, featuring a private bedroom and bathroom with shared living and kitchen spaces. A staff car is available when guests are not in residence.

The role follows an 8-hour day, 6 days per week in line with local labour law. However, during non-guest periods the workload is significantly reduced, typically 3–5 hours a day over 5 days per week. When guests are in residence, the team works longer hours as required, with time off provided afterwards. Occasional travel to Europe with a small team may be required however EU passport is helpful but not necessarily required.

YOU CANNOT HAVE WORKED IN SAUDI ARABIA BEFORE AS YOU WILL NOT PASS SECURITY CLEARANCE.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the residence
• Carry out daily cleaning, laundry and wardrobe care
• Assist with informal service during guest stays
• Support in the kitchen when required, including basic food preparation or clearing
• Manage own tasks efficiently and adapt to changing household needs
• Ensure organisation and cleanliness of shared staff areas
• Liaise with the House Manager regarding daily priorities
• Uphold strict discretion and professionalism at all times
• Assist with guest arrival preparations
• Support smooth household operations during travel when required
• Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment

Ideal Candidate

• Previous housekeeping experience within a private household or luxury environment
• Willingness to assist with informal service; formal silver service not required
• Confident multitasker with a flexible, positive attitude
• Female candidate required for accommodation and team balance
• Valid driving licence is a strong advantage
• No previous employment experience in KSA due to existing legal constraints
• Professional, discreet, and team-oriented

Package

• Working schedule: 6 days a week (8 hours daily; reduced hours during non-guest periods)
• Visa and health insurance provided
• 30 days annual leave
• Annual return flight
• Live-in accommodation – private bedroom and bathroom, shared living/kitchen
• Salary: $3,500 net per month
