Butler – Dubai

We are working with a European family based in Jumeirah Islands to help them hire a full-time Butler. The family resides in a beautiful five-bedroom villa and is seeking a professional, highly organised Butler to oversee the daily operations of the household and ensure seamless service at all times.

The household includes two Housekeepers (one of whom also acts as Family Cook) and a Family Manager who oversees overall property and staff management. The Butler will take responsibility for ensuring the home is maintained to an impeccable standard, leading by example and providing a calm, structured, and service-oriented environment in line with the family’s values of privacy, peace, and discretion.

EU passport holders are preferred due to unrestricted travel, but not essential. Being based in Dubai already is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily running and presentation of the household, ensuring all areas are maintained to a five-star standard
• Lead and train the two Housekeepers, ensuring professionalism, efficiency, and adherence to established procedures and checklists
• Maintain household organisation and manage inventories, equipment, and consumables
• Liaise with and coordinate external contractors, gardeners, and maintenance providers as required
• Provide wardrobe management and clothing care, ensuring organisation and attention to detail
• Prepare the property for family travel, packing and unpacking as required
• Assist with household event planning and hosting, including table settings, service, and staff coordination
• Anticipate the needs of the family, resolving issues proactively and maintaining discretion at all times
• Run errands and assist with family requests as directed by the Family Manager
• Uphold household privacy, calm, and security standards at all times
• Accompany the family on occasional travel, providing consistent butler and household support

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Butler or Senior Housekeeper in a private household or luxury hospitality environment
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage, train, and motivate staff
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong understanding of household management, etiquette, and service standards
• Calm, discreet, and professional in all circumstances
• Confident in liaising with contractors and external suppliers
• Comfortable working around young children and family life
• Flexible and adaptable with a positive, proactive approach
• Basic cooking or service skills would be an advantage, but not essential

Package

• Working schedule: 5 days per week, up to 9 hours per day (plus 1-hour lunch break)
• Visa and health insurance provided
• 22 working days annual leave
• Live-out position – transport costs included in salary
• Annual flight allowance: AED 3,000 (after one year of service)
• Salary: 23,000 AED/ €5,400 per month
