PROFESSIONAL FRENCH LANGUAGE TEACHER POSITION

About the Client

The client (Principal) is a high-profile executive, based in Dubai.

You would be in charge of instructing the Principal. From time to time, you will probably give lessons to other family members. You would be part of a team working for the client.

The project

• We are looking for one French Teacher ready to start working as soon as possible.
• You must have already been working for VIP or private employers in the past. This is a mandatory criterion.
• You are used to working on private demands and adapting training courses to specific and individual requirements. You must speak, write and read French fluently as well as English.
• Ideally a French native, able to share French culture and ways of life.
• We are looking for someone accustomed to very high standards who can respond to demanding, private tuition requirements.

This is a permanent position with a 3 month period of probation.

You will report directly to the Principal and will define lessons based on the Principal's needs and language learning goals. The Principal has prior private French tuition and will likely be the main student.

The family seeks an experienced and reliable French teacher with significant experience in both institutional organisations (such as schools or universities) and private VIP environments. Candidates lacking both experiences will not be accepted.

You will prepare lesson plans and sessions for varying levels within the family, motivate the Principal, and deliver comprehensive, engaging private lessons rather than standard classroom lectures.

Assessments will include written and oral exercises. You should pay extra attention to family members with different capabilities. Further details will be defined during interview with the Principal.

Performing various administrative tasks as and when necessary is mandatory for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and plan French teaching strategies.
• Implement lessons according to each member's level, with emphasis on the Principal.
• Deliver instruction primarily in French and ensure correct pronunciation.
• Develop teaching materials and aids; prepare assessments and exercises.
• Pay extra attention to struggling family members and adapt methods accordingly.
• Organise activities and events to facilitate language learning and maintain teaching records.
• Perform required administrative and reporting tasks.
• Continuously research and adapt teaching methods to the client's needs.

Desired profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in French language, French literature, or related field.
• Prior experience as a French teacher in educational institutions and significant private VIP household experience (both required).
• Excellent written, spoken and reading skills in French; advanced English in all forms.
• Strong organisational, time-management, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently, be discreet, maintain confidentiality, and adapt lessons for different ages and levels.
• Clean criminal record, honest and reliable.

Salary: EUR 4000 - EUR 5000.

Salary to be defined depending on profile (equivalent amount may be paid in local currency).

Package: Private accommodation (to be shared with another female staff member), flight tickets to Dubai, work permits and health insurance are included.
