Silver Swan Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Weekend Nanny to assist a lovely family based in London. The family has two children aged 5 years and 1.5 years and is looking for ongoing weekend support. This is a permanent position, ideal for a professional who enjoys working in a busy family environment and is confident caring for young children over the weekend period.
The family also has a large, friendly dog, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable around pets.

Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for both children throughout the weekend.
- Maintain daily routines, including meals, naps, playtime, and bedtime.
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate, stimulating activities that encourage development.
- Manage all childcare-related tasks, including tidying up after the children and ensuring their belongings are organized.
- Support with nursery/school preparation as needed.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with the parents to maintain consistency and trust.
- Be flexible with timing of breaks and daily routines as occasionally required.
Ideal Candidate:
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
- Self-employed position – candidates are responsible for managing their own taxes.
- Experienced maternity nurse or maternity nanny with proven expertise in caring for infants and young children.
- Professional, reliable, and flexible, with excellent time management skills.
- Confident caring for two children of different ages.
- Calm, organized, and proactive, with a genuine love for children and family life.
- Comfortable with dogs and happy to work in a household with pets.
- Holds relevant childcare qualifications, enhanced DBS check, and paediatric first aid certification.
- Excellent communication skills and glowing references from previous families.
Package:
- Fridays 6:00pm – Sundays 6:00pm
- Option to extend to Monday morning (7:00am or 8:00am) with prorated pay.
- Permanent position with a commitment of at least 3 weekends per month, typically 4 weekends.
- 3.5 hours off each day (Saturday & Sunday), generally in the morning; flexibility may be required.
- Pay: £350 per 24-hour shift (£400 for the right candidate).
- Additional pay for extended hours through to Monday morning.
- Accommodation and meals provided while on duty.

Work Experience Requirements:
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.
Language Requirements:
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications:
A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
