Private Housekeeper – New York

We are working exclusively with a lovely couple in New York, West Side who are looking to hire a housekeeper to join their Head Housekeeper. Together, you will be responsible for the upkeep of their 7,000 sq foot 5-bedroom and 5-bathroom apartment.

The couple have no children nor pets. We are looking for someone with strong experience working within a similar private residence, who has five-star standards and the right personality to fit in easily with the Head Housekeeper and their Chef. The successful candidate will be friendly, down to earth, respectful, easy to get along with and have strong communication skills.

Your working schedule will be Monday – Friday, eight hours per day. Weekends have not been required to date but flexibility may be required for events or additional support.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising all areas of the home.
• Manage laundry and ironing, including special care for delicate fabrics.
• Organise and maintain household supplies and inventory.
• Ensure that all household items are in their proper places and well maintained.
• Assist in the organisation of closets, storage areas, and other spaces as needed.
• Report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up for events, gatherings, or special occasions.
• Collaborate with the personal chef to ensure seamless service during events.
• Provide care for valuable items, including fine art, antiques, and delicate furnishings.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
• Assist with personal tasks, such as managing household errands.

Package

• $40 – $45 per hour
