Private Housekeeper – London

We are working exclusively with a client based in Central London who is looking for a switched on, highly organised, strong private housekeeper. You will be joining a busy team of 3 other housekeepers to look after an UHNW Principal where discretion and confidentiality is of utmost importance.

The Principal travels frequently and so strong experience packing and unpacking for travel is essential. You will work a 5-day week and flexibility is required in regards to your working hours as you may at times have to work late into the evening to organise the packing for the following day. This however is balanced out with regular chunks of time where she is out of the country. You will take turns to work the weekends on a rota with the other housekeepers. This role won’t suit anyone with a young family at home due to the unsociable hours required from you at times. The role however will provide you with the opportunity to work in a busy household, alongside other hard working and driven individuals, with room to grow and develop your experience.

This is a live position so you must be based locally. 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the residence.
• Work collaboratively with the housekeeping team to manage daily cleaning schedules.
• Care for fine furnishings, luxury fabrics, antiques, and delicate surfaces.
• Handle laundry with precision, including handwashing, ironing, and wardrobe management.
• Be heavily involved in the organisation and packing/unpacking of luggage for trips
• Prepare guest rooms and principal suites to 5-star hotel standards.
• Restock household supplies and alert the house manager to low inventory.
• Follow strict privacy, confidentiality, and discretion protocols at all times.
• Assist with table settings, service, and light food and beverage preparation when required
• Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly.
• Be flexible with duties and scheduling to accommodate the Principal’s needs and routines.

Ideal Candidate

• Be comfortable signing and respecting an NDA
• Have strong private housekeeping experience
• Very strong packing experience
• Be able to work to a 5* standard at all times
• Work well within a team, being kind and thoughtful to colleagues

Package

• Working Schedule: 5 days a week, 9am-5pm/11am-7pm as standard with the flexibility to work evenings if last minute packing is required
• Annual holiday allowance
• £50,000 – £55,000 per year
