Overview

An exceptional full-time Housekeeper is sought for a professional couple based in Wimbledon Village. This is not a routine cleaning role, the couple are looking for a polished, discreet, and proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining an organised and beautiful home.

You will oversee the smooth day to day functioning of their elegant five bedroom home and act as a right hand support to the couple, particularly the wife who works from home. The ideal applicant will have experience managing high end items, including fine furniture, luxury fabrics and designer wardrobes.

You will also travel occasionally to their holiday home in Mallorca, travelling with suitcases and preparing the property for the couple’s arrival. In Mallorca, the residence is fully staffed with two chefs and two additional housekeepers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced housekeeper seeking a long term position with variety, autonomy and the chance to work for a respectful and appreciative family.

Job duties
Responsibilities of the Housekeeper in Wimbledon Village, include:

• Full housekeeping duties: meticulous cleaning, tidying, and home organisation
• Laundry, ironing, dry-cleaning management, and wardrobe care, including designer items
• Household inventory checks; ensuring supplies are always stocked
• Occasional cooking or food prep (ability to follow recipes is a plus)
• Running errands (groceries, parcels, couriers)
• Dog care: feeding, walking, occasional pet sitting
• Guest room preparation and light hosting support when visitors stay
• Liaising with contractors, tradespeople, and deliveries
• Houseplant care and occasional flower arranging
• Packing and unpacking for travel
• Light cleaning at the owners’ nearby retail shop on Monday mornings (8–12 or 10–2)
• Travel to Mallorca home to prepare the property for the couple’s arrival; return flights and accommodation provided
• Flexibility for occasional late evenings when the couple host events

Candidates must be/have:

• Prior experience in a similar private household position
• Strong organisational skills, self-direction, and initiative — able to anticipate needs independently
• Exceptional attention to detail, especially with fine furnishings and luxury fabrics
• Discreet, professional, and personable, with a calm presence in the household
• Comfortable with dogs and confident in pet care
• Confident cook (desirable but not essential)
• Flexible, adaptable, and willing to adjust to changing schedules
• A valid driving licence (desirable but not essential)
• Within a suitable commute of Wimbledon
• Enhanced DBS issued within the past 12 months or registered on the update service (required at offer stage)

Accommodation
Accommodation is provided during travel to Mallorca.

Hours
35 hours per week.

Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 15:00, or 11:00 – 18:00. Flexibility is essential.

Salary
£38,220 – £45,500, DOE.
