About this role

Temporary 2nd Engineer – Private 70 m M/Y

Please note the yacht is not in use, staying in port for the duration of the contract

• Start: 26 October 25 – 5 January 26
• Location: Europe
• Package: Salary in Euros, inclusive of Leave

Experience and attributes required:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as 3rd or 2nd Engineer on 50m+
• Diesel engines and generators
• HVAC, water makers, sewage treatment, fuel/oil systems
• Electrical and electronic troubleshooting
• Hydraulics and pumps
• Comfortable working independently on repairs and diagnostics
• Planned maintenance systems (e.g. IDEA)

Qualifications required:

• MEOL minimum preferably Y4
• MTU Engine experience is a plus
• Seafarer’s Medical Certificate (with 6 months’ validity)
• Seafarer’s Discharge Book
• STCW updated
• Schengen visa

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
