Silver Swan is currently seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping operations across a prestigious collection of 8 luxury villas in Provence. This is a year-round, permanent position suited to an experienced professional who excels in both luxury hospitality standards and team management. The role balances hands-on operational excellence with strategic oversight, ensuring an exceptional guest experience and efficient team coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily inspections of flagship villas and bi-weekly checks of smaller properties
  • Ensure 5-star standards are applied consistently across all locations using detailed protocols
  • Coordinate schedules, breakfast services, linen rotation, and guest amenities
  • Oversee inventory, budget-conscious supply orders, and team allocations based on occupancy
  • Train staff on security, closure, and emergency procedures
  • Recruit, train, and manage a seasonal team of 8–12 housekeepers (CDD/CDI contracts)
  • Use CONNECTEAM app for scheduling, reporting, and time validation
  • Monitor staff performance with a structured bonus and disciplinary system
  • Foster a team-oriented culture focused on quality, professionalism, and discretion
  • Ensure full adherence to the 39h/week annualized contract structure (1,787 hours/year)
  • Validate mileage, rest periods, and daily activity reports
  • Coordinate inter-property logistics and ensure documentation is accurate and timely
  • Enforce luxury service standards throughout all guest interactions
  • Personally handle VIP arrivals and emergency housekeeping requests
  • Ensure the team maintains invisibility, silence, and strict confidentiality at all times

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must hold an EU passport/right to work in France
  • Must speak fluent French
  • Must hold a driving license
  • 5+ years in luxury housekeeping management (4/5-star hotels, resorts, or private villas)
  • 3+ years managing seasonal or rotating staff
  • Familiarity with HCR collective agreements and annualized scheduling
  • Proven ability to manage multi-site hospitality operations
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and administrative abilities
  • High attention to detail and standards in cleanliness and presentation
  • Digital proficiency in workforce apps and time-tracking systems
  • Adaptability to seasonal fluctuations and weekend/holiday work
  • Availability to work 6 days/week during high season
  • Willingness to adjust weekly schedules with short notice

Package:

  • Salary: €3,500 /month Gross (12-month CDI)

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
