West Nautical are currently recruiting a Chief Officer for a 40m+ New Build Charter MY.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as Chief Officer on similar sized vessels, though we are open to candidates with extensive experience as Second Officer looking to step up.

The successful candidate will have excellent bridge knowledge, with a healthy understanding of ISM and passage plans. Large tender driving experience and knowledge of towing procedures is a must.

We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, energetic and willing to jump in wherever needed. You will get lots of drive time and bridge experience, but this is NOT a bridge role. You will be 80% on deck, leading the team of two beneath you. Water sports experience a must, and any fishing experience would be a huge advantage to your application.

This is a dual-season busy charter vessel so previous charter experience is essential!

Candidates already based in Europe with a Schengen and B1/B2 visa in hand will be prioritised.

Boat Location: Turkey

Itinerary: Dual Season – Mediterranean summer/Caribbean Winter

Salary: 7000€ and 35 days leave

Qualifications: OOW<3000gt, PWC Instructors, STCW updated, Valid Eng 1

Visas: Schengen, B1/B2

Start Date: ASAP

 

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
