We are looking for a dock & customer service coordinator to work at Conch Charters in a dual function role. This job involves ensuring the competition and quality of charter yacht preparation for arriving customers as well as being one of the main points of contact for charter guests on the operational side of the business.

You will coordinate various members of staff to ensure yachts are turned around between charters in line with the company’s standards. You will also brief customers before their charter and after their return, as well as assist with any queries they may have.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinating various staff members in the preparation of yachts for charter.
  • Completing turnaround service checks and yacht preparation.
  • Briefing of clients on yacht mechanical systems and safety equipment.
  • Maintenance and repairs to all yachts and yacht equipment– including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Proactive and preventative daily maintenance, including checks and repairs.
  • Emergency call outs for breakdowns
  • Competent movement of yachts onto mooring balls, the dock, and refueling
  • Ensuring the safety of all clients
  • Assisting clients with queries and problems
  • Assisting with the general running of the base and customer service support
  • Any other duties as directed by the Operations Manager

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience maintaining inboard diesel engines and 2 & 4 stroke outboard engines
  • Working knowledge of 12v DC and 120v AC electrical systems
  • An understanding of marine plumbing systems
  • Air conditioning and refrigeration troubleshooting and repair
  • Experience working with similar yachts, maneuvering yachts will be required
  • A captains license is desirable
  • Practically minded, a good fault finder, with a proactive attitude to solving problems
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Experience in a customer-facing position
  • Well organized and able to prioritize effectively
