Are you looking to complete your master 5 within the next 12 months?

A high profile 37m private MY that maintains a permanent berth in Sydney is on the search for an up and coming deckhand to join their team.
The yacht undertakes mostly day trip around the Sydney harbour/Pittwater region for private functions from November to July.

August to September (most years) the yacht will undertake an extended trip away for the tale end of the winter period.
Winter 2020 trip should include various islands around Indonesia including Raja Ampat.
The deckhand will undertake a varied role on the yacht, from supporting the 1st mate in deck operations to assisting the chief engineer with engine room projects.
The Deckhand will also look after the chase tender and should have adequate small boat handling skills.
The position would suit a deckhand looking to complete their task book and obtain their Master 5 within the next 12 months.
As the yacht maintains a permanent berth in Sydney it will be the requirement for the deckhand to have their own accommodation ashore
The yacht also has a diving focus so candidates with a PADI dive ticket and logged dives will be highly considered

The Ideal Candidate
• 1-2 seasons experience as a deckhand
• STCW
• Powerboat level 2 or Coxswains (or higher)
• Can work well unassisted and unsupervised
• Happy to get behind a buff for the day
• Excellent tender driving skills
• Well presented and polished
• Good knowledge of deck products
• PADI dive ticket preferable
• Full work rights for Australia
