Captain 37m MY Charter- Australia & South Pacific Islands

Are you an experienced captain looking to spend 6 months in Australia and 6 months in the South Pacific Islands?

Do you hold an AMSA or NZM 500gt or 3000gt?

A high-profile Australian charter yacht is on the search for an experienced captain to join their professional team
The vessel is run to an extremely high standard and will undertake a mixture of day and term charters throughout both the Australian summers and Pacific Island winters
The position will be live onboard for the duration and the yacht is run with 5-6 crew.
Captain will have the option of living ashore when in Australia
Being Australian flagged, in survey and travelling internationally the minimum COC considered will be captains holding an AMSA endorsed 500 GT or greater
(Will consider captains looking to get the endorsement on their NZ COC )
The successful captain may have the option of joining for a 6 month (for Pacific / Fiji season) or permanent/fulltime contract (Australian Summers)

The ideal candidate

• AMSA endorsed 500gt or higher (unrestricted)
• GMDSS
• STCW + Seafarer medical
• Ability to obtain a certificate of local knowledge for Sydney Harbour (COLK)
• Some superyacht and term charter experience
• MED 2 (preferred)
• ISM experience
• Knowledge of Australian vessel survey requirements, certification, inspections
• extremely safety conscious
• Very well organised
• Excellent manager of people
• Ability to communicate well with guests and stakeholders (owners, brokers, agents)
• Highly presentable
• Full work rights for Australia / NZ

Start Date- As available, Before May 2020

Term- Minimum 6 month contract , preference for fulltime / permanent

Salary – DOE $120,000 AUD - $140,000 AUD + Super / Annum
