Chief Officer Opportunity aboard - Private 40m S/Y with WW itinerary



Start Date:         November, 2019

Location:            S/E Asia

Package:            Paid in Euros, 6 weeks leave/ 2 Flights

 

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Sailing Yacht First Mate who is a Dive enthusiast and loves cruising to off the beaten track locations!  This is a Family oriented yacht with a world-wide cruising itinerary, with family who live aboard for long durations at a time.  The itinerary is to move onto Indonesia, then to the Indian Ocean, heading over to the Maldives, so be ready for an adventure!  



Qualifications required:

-  Chief Mate 3000 - preferred

- STCW (fully updated)  with security duties

- Seafarer's Medical Certificate

- Open Water Dive ticket – Dive Master preferred

 

Experience and Attributes Required:



* Essential - Minimum of 2 years’ experience on board a similar sized vessel as Chief Mate

* Exceptional rigging and line handling experience

* Excellent Bridge, Passage Planning and Crew Management experience

* Hands-on with effective communication skills

* Positive interest in conservational and sustainability projects

*Ideally an active sportsperson who is keen on diving, water sports, trekking and happy to be cruising off the beaten track at times

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
