GENERAL MANAGER PRIVATE ISLAND FRENCH POLYNESIA.
This is a very exciting, once in a lifetime opportunity to become part of a team of hospitality professionals running a brand-new resort on a private island in French Polynesia. We are seeking a General Manager with a yacht background as either a Purser or a Chief Steward(ess). 5 years + experience will be preferred.
We have a second position open for a Tender Captain/Watersports Manager so it could suit a couple.
Permanent role: salary, leave, start date to be negotiated.
The Island runs to a similar level to super yachts with a maximum of 12 guests with an affluent clientele and a focus on water sports and high-end customer service. Desired skills/experience: English and French speaking essential Assisting with establishing the resort prior to opening. This would include developing systems and procedures for the rest of the island staff. Basic accounting and computer skills including Microsoft excel. This would include managing emails and bookings. Managing staff and ensuring work is completed to a high standard. Delivering an unforgettable experience to guests through premium service. Liaising with local businesses and authorities. This would include managing contractors and submitting paperwork in French.
Work Experience Requirements:
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications:
All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.
A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
