To join around end of the first week January 2019 in Asia region, where several carpentry projects need to be carried out during this time.

Job description (not limited to):

  • responsible for all wood and furniture. Ensuring the immaculate state of all wood, walls, ceilings and furniture on board the yacht and the tenders.
  • Receiving repair requests from Chief Officer First Officer and Chief Engineer.
  • Organize and prioritizing his workload, however if any doubts arise the Chief Officer can override.
  • As a key player in the safety of the vessel, the Carpenter holds critical responsibilities on the emergency team.
  • Tender driver (as required). .
  • Mooring and anchoring operations. .
  • May be involved in general deck maintenance at the discretion of the Staff Chief Officer / First Officer.
  • Informing Chief Officer / First Officer of required stores, spares tools and equipment.
  • Very good carpentry skills and experience working on-board cruise, or yachts and ships. Very good in varnish and painting and familiar with yacht specific products;
  • Very good in touch up works in interior; 
  • To be happy to cover deckhand duties as required by Bosun.
  • To provide some picture with end results of his work;
  • To be available to join the vessel by first half of January;

  • Permanent contract with rotation 3 months on-board / 1 leave, of which 3 months is the probation time. Salary to be advised.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on cruise ships or yachts matching the following requirements:

  • Yacht sizes:  > 70m

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
