Skipper Motor Yacht

We are looking for skipper for a 80' motor yacht. The yacht is used primarily for day charters and used throughout the year. Successful candidate will be required to locate ashore in the Hong Kong area. You will be part of a three person team on-board. The role would suit person with 50' -100' Motor yacht experience.
The position is with one of Hong Kong’s leading charter companies with a fleet of luxury vessels charter vessels.

Area of operation is Hong Kong territorial waters
The position is full time.
Salary Dependent on Experience

The roll of skipper is the safe running of the vessel.

The vessel is supported by shore team however a excellent understanding of day to day maintenance is a must. You must also have excellent seamanship skills and be able to inspire and teach deck crew.

The skipper must have a can-do attitude and be prepared to do any job onboard to ensure the vessel runs smoothly and efficiently working as team with the other staff onboard.

It is an importance face of the company requiring direct contact with a select group of clients.
As such a high standard of customer service is required.
Smart presentation at all time with high standard including been able to communicate politely with clients.
Good spoken English is preferable.
Occasional overnight charters will require crew to stay onboard for the duration of charter.
Skipper will be assigned a primary vessel but will work on any of the company’s vessels as required.

Experience

• Previous experience of professional run vessels is a must.
• Good level of maintenance skills and knowledge

Required qualifications

• *Hong Kong Grade 1 Coxswains Licence
• STCW Elementary First Aid
• STCW Personal Survival Techniques
• STCW Fire Prevention & Fighting

*Holders of RYA Yachtmaster may apply but will be required to apply for conversion to HK Grade 1 before taking up post.
