Private Housekeeper – London

We are working once again with a long-standing client who is looking to hire 2 x experienced private housekeepers to join their team in Knightsbridge.

The family are seeking proactive candidates with laundry skills to manage the day-to-day operations of their property. Working within a team of 4 housekeepers, teamwork is key to ensure smooth flow of service throughout. The family comprises 2 principals, 3 children and 3 dogs, so a love for animals is essential. Your duties will cover general housekeeping and care of bespoke furnishings, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management with experience in the care of delicate garments.

This is a Monday – Friday role.

Key Responsibilities

• Laundry washing with experience in the care of delicate garments, handling of expensive clothing – hand washing, silks, cashmere, dry cleaning etc
• Wardrobe management for the principals
• General housekeeping and care of furnishings
• Assist in managing stock control, ordering household/cleaning supplies
• Regular deep cleaning when the principals are out of the home
• Caring for valuable possessions. Training will be given where necessary

Ideal Candidate

• Excellent communication skills in English
• Must have an eye for detail
• Minimum 2 years working experience in a similar role within a Private Household
• Previous experience working in high-end support roles and who understand flexibility and last minute changes.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• High degree of professionalism
• Ability to use your initiative and work in a team and independently
• Must have recent and checkable references, along with current DBS (or willing to obtain), and right to work in the UK.

Package

• Working schedule: Mon – Fri: 9am – 5pm
• Statutory annual leave
• Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per year
